Chelsy Cunningham, LPC, NCC

 Chelsy (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She graduated from EIU with her B.S in Recreational Therapy where she learned how to use games, crafts, and other leisure activities as the main treatment modality for individuals to help improve their overall well-being. Chelsy continued her education at EIU where she later received an M.S in Clinical Counseling. As a counselor, she tends to lean towards creative expressive activities, sand tray, and other self-reflection activities that help clients identify attachment issues and deal with family dysfunction. Chelsy has worked with a wide range of clientele like children & adolescents, adults, and dual diagnosis/co-occurring disorders, individuals with developmental disabilities, Veterans, and college students. Chelsy works full-time at the Eastern Illinois University Counseling Clinic seeing students and part-time at Evolve Counseling leading substance abuse groups. Her favorite thing to do is to hang out on her front porch, drink coffee, and watch the sunrise with her wiener dogs.
